Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Technical Support Engineer:The Technical Support Engineer will join the
Integrations Technical Support Team. This team supports external clients with technical support issues related to integrations involving the ServiceNow platform. They provide technical support to administrators, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex computer systems, complex software, integrations, or networked and/or wireless systems. In this role, you’ll act as a customer advocate in providing support to users/administrators of our platform. You’ll resolve technical cases created by customers looking for help to understand or troubleshoot unexpected behaviors or answer technical questions about the ServiceNow software and platform.
The Integrations Support Team receives a mix of issue types that typically center around these broad topics:- Email Configuration and Maintenance (Not just Outlook App)
- SSO/Authentication (Candidate should Know who to configure the technology and how this works internally, NOT just assign or grant user/permissions).
- Web Services
- Scripting /Rest API
- database issues
Required Skills for Technical Support Engineer - Integrations
- 2+ years’ professional experience providing technical support to customers/end-users
- 2+ years’ scripting experience in at least two of the following; JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell
- Experience providing technical support to database issues (IE: Importing/exporting data between separate systems, supporting bi-directional integrations between two systems, gathering/reading log files)
- Experience supporting relational databases (IE: MySQL or Oracle)
- Strong understanding of Web Services (SOAP/REST) & REST API’s
- Experience troubleshooting or configuring LDAP/Active Directory, SSO, or other authentication or user management systems (e.g. Azure AD, Okta, SAML, SiteMinder)
- Experience in Email?Troubleshooting, configurations & maintenance (e.g. Office 365, Exchange)?
- Experience Data Extraction Technologies (e.g. JDBC, ODBC)
