Join our team as a Sales Manager!
This is a hybrid role being onsite in Maple Plain, MN on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities for the team. This position directs and develops a sales and account management team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company goals along with establishing and executing plans to retain and expand revenues from the account management customer base.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure Account Managers meet or exceed revenue goals and metrics.
- Develop a plan and strategies to optimize revenues from the Account Management customer base.
- Responsible for the performance and development of the Account Managers.
- Prepare action plans with Account Managers to ensure revenue retention and new revenue opportunities are maximized.
- Work jointly with Product Managers, Marketing and other senior business leaders to design and implement go-to-market strategies and approaches for their customer base.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategy and implementation of new selling approaches to evolve and improve sales productivity and effectiveness.
- Conduct weekly one-on-one reviews with all Account Managers to review performance metrics and expectations, provide on-going coaching and addresses any performance concerns.
- Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
- Assist Account Managers in preparation of proposals and presentations.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Recruit, test, and hire Account Management based on agreed upon criteria.
- Champion of company initiatives, strategies and platforms.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What it takes:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Minimum 3 years of sales management experience leading a quota carrying team of sales reps
- Proven ability to meet 100% of plan for a calendar year
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams to perform
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across different levels of professionals
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to present in person and over the phone
- Ability to successfully resolve conflicts
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment
Preferred:
- Experience with managing a team of sales reps responsible for maintaining and growing revenue from customer companies
- 2+ years of experience as a quota carrying sales representative

Physical Demands:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
