IDR is seeking a Platform Security Architect to join one of our top clients for a hybrid opportunity in one of the following locations: Dallas, TX, McLean, VA or Memphis, TN. This role focuses on leading security initiatives in product delivery, ensuring robust security architectures, and aligning with industry standards. The company operates within the technology and cybersecurity sector, emphasizing innovative and scalable security solutions.

Position Overview for the Lead Security Engineer:

• Lead security aspects of product delivery by defining secure-by-default patterns and architecture guardrails that materially reduce vulnerabilities and risk in released customer-facing products.
• Contribute to the continuous development, review, and adoption of security standards and best practices.
• Design and maintain advanced security reference architectures that are secure, scalable, resilient, and align with overall architecture models—spanning web, mobile, API, AWS cloud, and AI-enabled architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all phases of product development and deployment.
• Provide guidance and expertise on security best practices, threat identification, and mitigation strategies within complex technical environments.

Requirements for the Lead Security Engineer:

• 2+ years of experience in an elevated information security role with a focus on architecture and design.
• 7+ years of total IT experience with a focus in cybersecurity.
• Strong expertise in API security, customer identity protocols (OAuth 2.1, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0), and AWS cloud security (least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, encryption/key management, secrets management, logging/monitoring strategy, and CI/CD + IaC guardrails).
• Familiarity with various industry regulations such as PCI DSS, GDPR, CCPA, NIST 800-53, SOC2, ISO 27001, PSD2/SCA, etc.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, AWS Solution Architect (Associate or Professional), or AWS Security Specialty certification.
