Cybersecurity Project Coordinator (Junior Project Manager)Remote
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity Project Coordinator to support our Cybersecurity team’s daily functions and processes. This role includes junior project management responsibilities, including managing small-scale projects independently or assisting on larger initiatives under the mentorship of a senior project manager. The ideal candidate will be organized, collaborative, and passionate about contributing to cybersecurity initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support cybersecurity team operations and internal process improvement initiatives
- Manage small cybersecurity projects or assist with coordination on larger efforts
- Maintain project documentation and track progress using standard project management tools
- Collaborate with technical leads to update project plans and ensure alignment with DI SW security standards
- Assist in collecting, reporting, and following up on project status updates
- Write and maintain internal cybersecurity content on platforms such as Sphere and SharePoint
- Support compliance and reporting for audit-related POA&Ms (Plans of Action & Milestones)
- Help maintain cybersecurity portfolio management tools and documentation
- Act as an ambassador for DI SW security standards, helping project teams meet security expectations
- Assist with development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and protocols
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, IT, or cybersecurity environments
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Experience with SharePoint and/or internal documentation systems preferred
- Interest or background in cybersecurity is a plus
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under guidance when needed
