IDR is seeking a Field Technician III to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Wichita, KS. This is a field-based, senior, QC-focused technician role supporting telecommunications and security system installations, ensuring quality and leading onsite teams to meet industry standards.
Position Overview for the Field Technician III:
- Serve as a lead onsite technician, directing, inspecting, and auditing work performed by other technicians.
- Perform installation and service tasks at customer sites with minimal supervision.
- Train and cross-train technicians and business partners on client and product requirements.
- Provide regular updates, submit deliverables, and support bid and estimate processes.
- Act as a point of escalation for clients, resolving issues or escalating as necessary.
Requirements for the Field Technician III:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience as a Technician II or in a similar role.
- Demonstrated proficiency across multiple key account areas such as Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burglar Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Digital Signage, Access Points, and Networking.
- Ability to operate network certifiers and hold certifications like BICSI Installer 2 (Copper & Fiber), OSHA 30, and LIFT.
- Strong communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
