IDR is seeking a DB2 Database Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Malvern, PA. This role is within a leading organization specializing in enterprise data solutions and systems management. The position focuses on maintaining and optimizing complex DB2 environments critical to supporting mission-driven applications.
Position Overview for the DB2 Database Engineer:
- Design, configure, and maintain IBM DB2 database architecture to support enterprise applications
- Analyze and optimize database performance through tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization
- Diagnose and resolve complex performance and stability issues within DB2 environments
- Monitor database health and implement proactive measures to ensure system reliability and availability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application performance and data integrity
Requirements for the DB2 Database Engineer:
- Strong expertise in IBM DB2 architecture, including system design and configuration
- Proven experience in DB2 performance tuning and optimization
- Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving database issues
- Hands-on experience working with DB2 PureScale environments
- Strong understanding of database performance monitoring tools and techniques
