Join our team as a Compliance Coordinator!
This is a hybrid role being onsite in Maple Plain, MN on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the regulatory compliance activities of the legal department, primarily with a focus on supporting the product stewardship program as part of a team of product stewardship representatives. This position will be responsible for reviewing and responding to customer requests for product stewardship documentation, interfacing with both internal and external customers, and working with compliance management to address those customers’ expectations on a timely and professional basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research customer requests for regulatory compliance documentation and identify the most effective solution or response.
- Generate Product Stewardship Declarations or other templated regulatory reports as needed to support customer requests.
- Respond to internal and external customers with effective and timely communications and appropriate documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers to ensure a great customer experience, including writing and verbalizing appropriate explanations of the product stewardship program and resolving any issues, errors or discrepancies that may arise.
- Analyze complex requests or complaints to determine when to escalate those situations to compliance management for further guidance.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping of customer requests.
- Assist in identifying and implementing new product stewardship program opportunities, policies, and processes.
- Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned.
What it takes:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of office support or customer service experience
- Strong customer service focus, excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills and strong sense of urgency
- Proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments
- Detail-oriented
- Willingness to independently search out solutions to new or unique opportunities
- Flexibility to adapt to new or changing processes, policies, compliance requirements or tools
- Working knowledge of product stewardship regulatory requirements such as RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, a plus but not required
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with various software solutions such as Microsoft AX and Salesforce

Physical Demands:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
