Active Ingredient Technician - Onsite

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Active Ingredient Technician for an Onsite position with a Global Pharmaceutical Company located in Athens, GA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for the preparation of vaccine components within an aseptic clean room environment. The ideal candidate will utilize virus and cell culture techniques in compliance with USDA regulations and Standard Operating Procedures to support manufacturing processes. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour days per week (6:45 am - 5:15 pm), with an alternating monthly off day.

Responsibilities:

• Perform activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment utilizing virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulations
• Ensure compliance to the Standard Operating Procedures during execution of processes
• Assist with training and coaching of current and new employees on required skills
• Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions
• Demonstrate a visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives
• Participate and provide support to site projects and initiatives, including deviation and change control management
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Rabies vaccination is required
• Knowledge of clean room and aseptic techniques
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Basic math skills and equipment/automation troubleshooting skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate problem-solving skills

Desired skills:

• Biology Degree or related field
• One year or more of laboratory experience and/or manufacturing experience

Pay range: up to $20.00 per hour
